The specific cannabinoid content of a strain of cannabis plays a significant role in its therapeutic efficacy. For example, strains with high levels of CBD have been shown to be effective in treating certain conditions, such as epilepsy, anxiety, and chronic pain, while strains with high levels of THC have been found to be effective in treating conditions such as nausea and loss of appetite in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

That is why our production starts with the breeding of specific cultivars to meet the exact requirements of each medical condition. Our breeding program, run by industry leading scientists, is designed to create strains of cannabis that

  • have specific levels of leading cannabinoids (CBD and THC), to optimise the therapeutic effects of the plant
  • have high yield, allowing us to make cannabis more affordable
  • are resistant to diseases, allowing us to produce without the use of pesticides

Through our breeding program we have brought 4 proprietary cultivars to the market so far. All of them are specifically suited for use in medicinal applications.

GENTLE TOUCH FOR HIGHER QUALITY

We want to provide the best possible quality. To meet that goal we have made several significant choices:

  • E-beam radiation The gamma radiation normally used to control microbial contamination has been shown to have severe adverse effects on the quality of the end-product. That is why we have chosen to radiate our flos products with e-beam radiation. Cutting edge research on e-beam radiation shows that the same microbial control can be achieved at a smaller cost and with less impairment of quality in the final product
  • Hand-packing of flos products to allow double-control of each flower for quality.
  • Drying to <10% humidity to ensure that no mould can grow in the product and to ensure stability of active components. 
  • Thorough testing for heavy metals and toxins
  • No pesticides used in production.

PAN-EUROPEAN PRODUCTION

Our medicinal cannabis is grown in state-of-the-art greenhouses in Denmark and Portugal. It is then harvested and dried in a controlled atmosphere before being packed and shipped to our customers around Europe.
